The Algerian authorities began their investigations with Wahid Qarouj, Miss African Heritage in 2019, and Miss North Africa in 2021, on charges of beating and detention.

And local media revealed, yesterday, Wednesday, that the investigations indicate the involvement of Qaraj in detention, threat and strike its business manager, and that they are suspended in the Qulaya prison, west of the capital, Algeria, against the backdrop of these accusations.

According to what was stated in the investigations, the incident occurred in the “Awlad Fayet” area on February 24, where Qaruj lured her business manager to her home on the pretext of handing him a sum of money, then detained him and assaulted him by attending a number of her family members.

For its part, Qaraj denied the charges against her, confirming during the investigations that her behavior came as a result of financial and personal differences with her business manager, who was overseeing her advertising campaigns through social media platforms. She also accused him of distorting her reputation and inciting against her through these platforms.
