Falaj Al -Mualla Youth Center celebrates the month of reading in an exhibition of Emirati and Arab press publications

Umm Al -Quwain, on March 7 / WAM / The Falaj Al -Mualla Youth Center, affiliated with the Federal Youth Corporation, organized yesterday evening, an exhibition entitled “The first Emirati and Arab press publications”, coinciding with a dialogue session entitled “Cultural ID and its role in society”, in celebration of the month of reading, with the aim of promoting a culture of reading and stimulating creative thinking among young people.

The exhibition, which was attended by community leaders and youth, witnessed a presentation of the first numbers of newspapers and magazines issued in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Egypt, which some of its publications dates back to 1937, and Abdullah bin Jassim Al -Mutairi, heritage and antiquities advisor and Islamic coins expert, presented his rare collection of first historical media publications, with an explanation about how they were acquired and preserved to ensure their sustainability as a cultural and historical heritage.

After the opening of the exhibition, a dialogue session was held, hosted by Dr. Fakhra Abdullah bin Dagher, Vice -Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Fujairah Social Cultural Association, and the writer Ali Al -Mazloum Al -Suwaidi, and was moderated by the writer and influence Community and enhance the values ​​of interconnection.

The dialogue touched on the challenges faced by young writers in society, as the session shed light on the obstacles that prevent the spread of their literary works, and to review the role of cultural institutions in providing the appropriate environment to support young writers and direct them towards achieving their literary successes, and the importance of literature as a tool to solve societal problems and enhance human values.
