Heba Youssef Al -Ajil, in her interview with “Today”, is the importance of following safety procedures during cooking during the month of Ramadan, where exposure to burns increases due to the large number of preparation of various foods, especially those that need high temperatures in frying or barbecue.
She explained that awareness of the dangers of burns and the correct ways of dealing with them can reduce the severity of the injury and accelerate the recovery process.

Wrong practices

Dr. Al -Ajil indicates that some common and wrong practices in the treatment of burns, such as placing toothpaste on them, may exacerbate the problem instead of treating them.
She explained that toothpaste contains substances that may cause irritation of the affected skin and increase the risk of infections, stressing the importance of using specialized medical creams such as “MIP”, which contains materials that help calm the skin and stimulate healing.

Topical antibiotics

It also recommended that the bubbles resulting from the burns are not bubble, as this may lead to exposing the skin to the infection, and advised to leave it to heal naturally while taking care of it using topical antibiotics when needed.
With the end of the days of Ramadan and the approaching Eid Al -Fitr, the cosmetic procedures that women resort to to maintain the freshness of the skin and restore its vitality after fasting, such as cleaning the skin, chemical exfoliation, and injecting Filler and Botox.
And d. Al -Ajil is the need to choose a qualified doctor who specializes in these procedures to ensure safe and effective results, noting that such treatments are preferred to be performed before the Eid with a period of no less than two days or more, to avoid any unwanted side effects, such as redness or swelling.

Harmful materials

Regarding hair care, I advised Dr. Al -Ajil avoids hair dyes that contain harmful chemicals, such as ammonia, especially for those who suffer from skin allergy or have a history of allergic reaction with dyes.
It also stressed the importance of conducting a sensitivity to the dye on a small area of ​​the skin before using it to ensure that there is no irritation or an allergic reaction.
As for nail care, it called for caution when making manicure and pedicure in salons, and recommended to ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of tools, in addition to using personal tools whenever possible, to avoid the transmission of fungal or bacterial infection.

External hydration

D. Al -Ajil is that drinking water during Ramadan is necessary for the health of the body, but it is not the only factor for moisturizing the skin, as the skin needs external hydration using appropriate creams that contain moisturizing substances, to maintain its freshness and protect it from dehydration, especially in light of fasting that may lead to liquids of fluid in the body.
It also recommended eating foods rich in water and vitamins, such as fruits and vegetables, to support the health of the skin from the inside and outside.
