Chinese games and films open new horizons for cultural tourism

Beijing on March 10/ WAM/ Chinese experts confirmed that the success of national technical productions enhances China’s position as a global center for creativity and supports the tourism sector.
The People’s Daily Online reported statements about Chinese experts on the sidelines of the third session of the fourteenth National Council of the Chinese people, that the global success achieved by the game “Black Legend: Wonding” and the movie “Sea Cha2” reflects the growing power of China in the cultural industries sector, and contributes to strengthening its position as a global center for artistic and technological creativity.
Weng One Tao, Chinese Minister of Trade, explained that these successes have contributed significantly to the promotion of the trading of Chinese cultural services, noting that heritage sites such as the Yongang Caves in Datung, Shanti Province, have witnessed a significant increase in the numbers of international tourists.
He added that the Chinese government seeks to invest these successes in developing the tourism sector and promoting global cultural exchange, stressing that cultural industries have become a major engine for the national economy.
For his part, Huang Fu Chuan, a researcher at the Chinese Center for Film Arts Research, stressed that the mixing between modern technologies and heritage stories contributed to attracting a global audience and promoting Chinese cultural identity in global markets, stressing the importance of continuing to support local talents.
For his part, Hang Kan, head of the Yongang Research Institute, pointed out that the flow of tourists due to the fame of these artistic works imposed new challenges on the management and protection of archaeological sites, which prompted the relevant authorities to expand tourism services and develop new mechanisms to organize visits and provide various cultural experiences.
In the same context, Dai Ben, head of the China Institute for Tourism Research, called for the development of pivotal cities for expatriate tourism, and to improve electronic booking mechanisms for tickets, with the aim of facilitating visitors’ experience and ensuring the sustainability of heritage sites.
The Chinese government emphasized that strengthening cultural and sustainable tourism industries will remain one of its strategic priorities during the next stage, because of its pivotal role in supporting economic development and enhancing China’s cultural position on the international scene.
