Alexandria Film Festival honors Moroccan director Hakim Bel Abbas in its 41st session
The administration of the Alexandria Film Festival for the Mediterranean countries, headed by cinematic critic Prince Abaza, announced the honor of the great Moroccan director and writer Hakim Bel Abbas, as part of the activities of the 41st session of the festival, to be held from October 2 to 6th of October. And with a deep artistic use of cinema in exploring identity and cultural memory. Bel Abbas was born in 1961 in the city of Badhara, and studied English and American literature at Hassan II University in Rabat, then he completed his cinematic studies in the Lyon institutes in France and the University of Colombia in Chicago, where he obtained a master’s degree in cinema. & laquo; Live in Junior & RAKUO; (1996), & Laquo; always ready & raquo; (1997), & Laquo; Shepherd and Rifa & RAKUO; (1998), & Laquo; Whispers & Raquo; (2001), and he also received a wide acclaim for his most prominent films & laquo; three angels with a thick wings & raquo; (2002) and & Laquo; Soul thread & raquo; (2003)*, which combined contemplative sense and artistic experimentation. (2006) and*& laquo; (2008)*, stressing his position as one of the pioneers of independent cinema in the Arab world. Unique.
