المملكة: Since the era of the Almohad, the Saudi flag is a symbol of national unity and the historical depth of the homeland

In his conscience, every Saudi citizen is proud of the “Saudi flag” under the testimony of monotheism, pride in identity, and an expression of feelings of cohesion, love and loyalty stemming from the spirit of belonging and loyalty to leadership and the homeland.

The Saudi flag also enjoys the respect of the Islamic world for its religious connotations, and the decent country that is interested in the affairs of the Islamic world.

(The national flag) carries the meanings of belonging and citizenship, the connotations of monotheism, strength, justice, development, and prosperity, embodies the concept of the state, expresses national unity, and the historical depth of the homeland.

Science in the era of the unified

In the year 1344 AH/ 1926 AD, and at the pledge of allegiance in Makkah Al -Mukarramah, King Abdulaziz ordered the formation of the founding body from a number of advisers and delegates, and among its tasks was to put the form of knowledge and money.

King Abdulaziz’s approval of the Shura Council’s decision was issued on 4 Dhu al -Hijjah 1355 AH/ 1937 AD, regarding the approval of what was stated in the speech of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs related to the size of the Saudi flag on a percentage of 150 cm long and 100 cm in width, and that the diversity of the sizes of science and its forms and accepting the exchange of flags with countries on the principle of compliments and general international acquaintance.

In 1937 – 1356 AH, the Shura Council’s decision was issued on the national flag, and the allocation of science for the king, a Crown Prince, and a flag for the Saudi Arabian army, the airline, the naval forces and the commercial maritime science.

On Muharram 12 1357 AH corresponding to March 13, 1938 AD, the system of raising the flag was issued by the noble High order No. 1/4/7 and published in the Official Gazette.

In the year 1973 AD, it was approved by King Faisal – may God have mercy on him – the current two sciences of the king of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and his crown prince, and he will be two special flags.

Saudi flag specifications

A royal order was issued by King Faisal bin Abdulaziz No. 101 and dated 2/2/1393 AH on the Saudi flag system.
It is stated in its first article that the national flag of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is rectangular.

The Saudi Shura Council approved a majority on January 31, 2022, on the draft amendment of the flag system issued by Royal Decree No. (M/3) and the date of 10/2/1393 AH, to keep pace with the development witnessed by Saudi Arabia, and to protect the state logo by defining the sanctions and filling the legislative void related to the absence of a system of the official national anthem.

On the first of March 2023, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, may God protect him, was issued that March 11 of each year be a special day for science in the name of “The Day of Science”, and on the 27th of Dhu al -Hijjah 1355 AH corresponding to March 11, 1937 AD, in which King Abdulaziz, may God bless him, approved the knowledge of his form that we see today.

Types of science

Science of review: for activities outside the buildings, such as Al -Wasari and military and sports shows.

The science of mast: for activities inside buildings and halls.

Office science: User on the table.

Car science: for diplomatic cars and delegations.

The colors of science and its connotations

The bright green known as emerald green.

The color of the sword and the two testimonies is snow white.

These colors and slogans have deep connotations. The green color symbolizes growth and fertility, and white color symbolizes peace and purity, and the sword symbolizes justice and security, and this symbolism of the sword has Arab roots, where the sword is a form of nobility and chivalry among the Arabs.

As for the word monotheism, it is to prove the oneness of God and the application of its wise law, and the proper approach that our country was established and followed in its three phases.
