"National Council Committee" The report of a federal bill on the national zakat platform adopts

Abu Dhabi, March 11 / WAM / The Technology, Energy and Mineral Resources Committee and public facilities in the Federal National Council approved during its virtual meeting held today, headed by His Excellency Dr. Nidal Mohamed Al Tunaiji, Chairman of the Committee, the report of a federal draft law on the national zakat platform.
The members of the committee, His Excellency: Aisha Ibrahim Al -Marri, the decision of the committee, Hilal Muhammad Al -Kaabi, Muhammad Issa Al -Shaf, and Walid Ali Al -Mansouri, members of the Federal National Council.
The draft law, which consists of 29 articles, aims to governance, regulation, and management of receiving, collecting, distributing and disbursing zakat, investing the surplus of them in accordance with the legal and legal provisions and controls, and ensuring that zakat will reach the due categories.
Articles include: definitions, the goals of the law, the raying scope, the reception, collection and distribution of zakat, the national platform for zakat, conditions and controls of the permit, the obligatory commitment of the authority, the unified system of zakat, the distribution of Zakat outside the state, the zakat in -kind, the investment of the surplus of zakat funds, the legal share of the authorized authority, the competent authority, the confidentiality of data, and the censorship Accountability, exemptions, judicial seizure, penalties, cancellation or stopping the permit, general and final provisions, and spreading and working law.
His Excellency the President of the Federal National Council referred a federal bill on the national zakat platform as a rush to the Technology, Energy, Mineral Resources Affairs Committee and public facilities; This is to study it and prepare a report on it to present to the council, and accordingly the committee studied the draft law and analyzed the legal, economic and social impact of the project, studying the justifications and goals on which the draft law was based, and the extent of its compatibility with the provisions of the constitution and laws related to the state, as well as meeting with representatives of the government related to the draft law.
