Syrian fact -finding committee: We will achieve what happened and we will work to “prevent revenge”
The Committee for Investigation and Facts, charged by the new Syrian presidency, announced the investigation of violence in the western regions of the country, today, Tuesday, its intention to consolidate justice and protect the rights of citizens, stressing its keenness on & quot; preventing revenge & quot; Outside the law, at a time behind the last escalation in some estimates more than a thousand civilian victims, amid great conflict of the numbers of victims."RTL"> & nbsp;
In a press conference held by the committee spokesman, Yasser Al -Farhan, in the capital, Damascus, he stressed that & quot, the new Syria & quot; Ma is determined to enhance the rule of law and consolidate justice, to ensure the protection of the rights and freedoms of citizens and prevent any attempts to take revenge outside the legal frameworks, while emphasizing the guarantee of non -impunity."RTL"> & nbsp;
In the same context, the official Syrian News Agency & quot, SANA & quot; That the Ministry of Interior General Security Department managed to arrest four people in one of the villages of the Sahel region, after they committed & quot; violations against civilians & quot;."RTL"> The agency stated that the detainees were referred to the military judiciary, without providing more details about the facts."RTL"> & nbsp;
It should be noted that the Syrian coastal areas have witnessed the largest wave of violence since the ousted President Bashar al -Assad was overthrown in December of last year."RTL"> The Syrian government announced, yesterday, Monday, the end of the military operation that targeted loyal gunmen for Assad in those areas."RTL"> Syrian President Ahmed Al -Sharaa also held a meeting with the members of the committee in charge of fact -finding, to discuss the repercussions of the recent events in the Syrian coast.
