المملكة: The inauguration of the Commission Academy enhances human capital

The Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Geological Survey Authority, Bandar bin Ibrahim Al -Khuraif, inaugurated the Saudi Geological Survey Academy, and launched its electronic platform, in cooperation with the National Center for Electronic Education, in the presence of employees of the authority and a number of academic and professional authorities.
The head of the Saudi Geological Survey, Eng. Abdullah bin Mftir Al -Shamrani, stressed in a special statement to “Today” that the inauguration of the academy comes from the authority’s belief in the importance of investing in human capital, as a basic part of the development of the fields of land sciences, whether from the administrative or technical aspect.

Geology sector in the Kingdom

He added that the academy will contribute to achieving distinct scientific and practical outcomes, which benefit the future of the geology sector in the Kingdom.
Al -Shamrani pointed out the importance of keeping the authority to keep pace with the great developments witnessed by the Kingdom and the world in various fields, and to emphasize that success requires continuous development and renewal.

He explained that the academy will improve performance and scientific outputs, develop skills, and expand the scope of specialized scientific partnerships with universities, institutes and research centers, locally and internationally, to ensure the continuity of development and investment in the human element.

Tariq Aba Al -Khail, the spokesperson for the Geological Survey, explained that the academy aims to embrace talents and experts, and enable future generations to innovate and excellence in geology and earth sciences.

He pointed out that the academy will focus on continuous applied education, by providing high -quality educational programs, which contribute to developing national competencies and preparing future leaders in this field.
At the end of the ceremony, the distinguished minister and retirees honored the employees of the authority, in addition to the success of the academy’s success, including the Institute of Public Administration, the Young Mining Professions, the Leadership and Communication Club (Toast Master) in Jeddah, the Saudi Geologists Association, along with a number of Saudi universities, including King Abdulaziz University, King Saud University, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, King Abdullah University And technology.
