An agreement between Emirates National Schools and Mohammed bin Zayed University for AI

Abu Dhabi, March 14/ WAM/ His Excellency Ahmed bin Mohammed Al -Humairi, Secretary -General of the Presidential Court, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Emirates National Schools, witnessed a cooperation agreement between “Emirates National Schools” and “Mohammed bin Zayed University for Artificial Intelligence”, the first of its kind, and aims to enhance communication and cooperation between the two sides.
The agreement was signed by Lakklan McKinnon, Director General of the UAE National Schools, and Professor Timothy Baldwin, Dean of Mohammed bin Zayed University for Artificial Intelligence, in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Maghrib Al -Amiri, Vice President of Mohammed bin Zayed University for Artificial Intelligence for Public Affairs and the relationship of graduates, Juma Atiq Al -Rumaithi, Director of the Office of Scholarships, Member of the Board of Directors, Dr. Souad Al -Suwaidi, an educational advisor, and Amal Abdul Qadir Al -Afifi, member of the Board of Directors of the Emirates National Schools.
His Excellency Ahmed Al -Humairi stressed that the agreement is promoting the achievement of the national agenda of the UAE, and supports the vision of the wise leadership calling for improving education and developing its outputs by absorbing artificial intelligence applications, and its role in developing curricula and upgrading students’ knowledge and skills in “Emirates National Schools”.
His Excellency pointed out that the UAE is moving steadily towards investing in technology in the interest of economic and human development, and artificial intelligence has become an essential component in the curricula of education at the state level, as it is one of the main engines for growth and innovation, and the signing of the Emirates National Schools comes to the agreement within the framework of its endeavor to improve the quality of educational services according to best practices.
For his part, Professor Timothy Baldwin said that the agreement represents an important step to integrate artificial intelligence in the education sector, and to enhance learning methods and develop its technologies to provide an academic environment that motivates creativity, by providing teachers with tools that depend on artificial intelligence and support innovation in the curriculum, to prepare an empowered and ready generation to lead future developments.
He added that within the framework of the UAE’s strategy for artificial intelligence, this cooperation seeks to provide students with the necessary skills to lead a future based on artificial intelligence, and contributes to achieving the goals of “the general community” under the slogan “hand in hand”, by caring for talents and unlimiting unlimited capabilities in society.
For his part, Laklan McKinnon stressed his confidence that the activities and training programs included in the agreement will contribute to integrating artificial intelligence into the curricula, providing students of the Emirates National Schools with the knowledge and skills necessary to enable them to make data based on data, and to identify the privacy of these data, and artificial intelligence ethics, in order to qualify them to study with the leading global academic institutions.
According to the agreement, “Emirates National Schools” provides the necessary resources to implement training programs, as well as encouraging students and teachers to participate in activities related to artificial intelligence, while “Mohammed bin Zayed University for artificial intelligence” is working to integrate and align artificial intelligence technologies in the curricula and helpful activities, training teachers, and setting the appropriate basis and standards to implement programs effectively.
