Abu Dhabi intends to launch standards for services provided for children outside the nursery and schools

Abu Dhabi, March 14/ WAM/ The Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority, on the occasion of the Emirati Children’s Day, which falls on March 15 of each year, announced the start of work to design a system to assess the quality of services provided to young children outside the nursery and schools, including camps, post -school programs, children’s libraries, parks, stadiums, children’s museums, cultural centers that contain areas allocated to children, family entertainment centers, and family entertainment centers, And the places of games, with the aim of evaluating and improving the services and programs provided to families, and ensuring the provision of safe, effective and high -quality programs and experiences for children in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
The authority will work to develop the system, with the participation and contribution of its partners, especially the Community Development Department, the Municipalities and Transport Department, the Department of Culture and Tourism, the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, the Department of Economic Development, the Department of Education and Knowledge, the Ministry of Education, the Department of Health, the Authority together, the Family Welfare Authority, the Abu Dhabi Social Support Authority, the Zayed Higher Foundation for people of determination, and the National Academy for Childhood Development.
The evaluation system will depend on a set of standards based on leading global practices that have been adapted to suit the culture and values of the UAE, as the system will establish a large group of services that target children between the ages of 0-8 years, with plans to expand the evaluation scope to include services provided for children up to 18 years in the future.
His Excellency Sana Bint Mohammed Suhail, Minister of Family, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority, said on the occasion of the Emirati Child Day, that the authority does not seek through this system to determine the standards of services provided to children outside and evaluate custody and school houses, but aims to improve the level of these services and create a qualitative shift in the experience of families and children.
She emphasized that the quality is the priority for which the authority seeks to design the system, to provide effective and positive experiences for each family, and for the parents to feel confident in the programs in which their children participate.
Her Excellency added that the authority seeks to provide supportive environments that enable each child in Abu Dhabi to grow and explore and achieve the maximum capacity, by focusing on the quality and safety of services and enhancing their effectiveness, noting the role of the regime in enhancing the attractiveness of the services provided, which increases the demand of more families on them.
Based on the eagerness of the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority to enable each child in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to achieve prosperity, high -performance services will be highlighted and the importance of the child’s development, while support, guidance and resources needed for services and programs that do not meet the criteria required to contribute to improving their quality.
