A “deadly goal” that brings Al Wasl from the Professional Cup semi -final

Al-Wasl team achieved a valuable victory over its guest, Al-Jazira, with a score of 1-0, today, Monday, at Zabeel Stadium, in the first leg of the Professional League Cup semi-final (Abu Dhabi Islamic Football Bank Cup), in a meeting that witnessed many opportunities wasted over the two halves of the meeting.
The “Emperor” owes the credit for the game maker Nicholas Jimenez, who scored the only goal of the match in a dramatic way in the 1+90, when he took advantage of a rebound from the goalkeeper after he tackled a powerful shot from Joao Pedro, to live in the net and give his team victory.
The confrontation between the two teams is renewed next Saturday at the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium, where Al -Wasl seeks to preserve his superiority and qualify for the final, while Al -Jazeera will be required to provide stronger offensive performance to compensate for the loss and compete for the transit card.
Returning to the confrontation, the match witnessed a strong competition between the two teams, as they exchanged attacks throughout the two halves of the meeting, but the hardness of the defense and the guards shine immediately from shaking the nets until the last moments.
Al -Jazeera almost advanced in the tenth minute through its player Vinicius Milo, but the referee canceled the goal after the intervention of the “mouse” video, which confirmed the presence of an infiltration on one of the Al -Jazeera players while touching the ball.
Al -Wasl tried to exploit the land and the public to impose his offensive style, relying on the movements of Ali Saleh, Joao Pedro, playmaker Nicholas Jimenez, while Al -Jazeera focused on the defensive organization and counterattacks led by Neskin Kibano, Nabil Fakir and Ramon Meris.
With the passage of time, the risk of attacks on the goals increased, but the Al -Wasl goalkeeper, Muhammad Ali, in the ranks of Al -Wasl and his counterpart on the island, Stogan Likovic, glowed in confronting dangerous opportunities.
At a time when the match was on its way to a negative tie, Nicholas Jimenez managed to kidnap the victory for his team, in the 1+90 minute, putting his team in a comfortable position before the second leg.
