Syrian actress Sulaf Fawakherji revealed an attempt to kidnap her children during the first period of events in Syria, stressing that a gang was planning to kidnap her older and smaller son with the help of a domestic worker who worked with her for 12 years.

She explained during her meeting on the “Asrar” program on the Egyptian “Al -Nahar” channel that the gang, which called herself “Ahrar al -Sham”, planned to kidnap her young son and his upbringing as if he were the son of the worker, while her older son was supposed to be transferred to an area inside the Levant to demand a ransom.

The aim of the kidnapping was not only a ransom, but the gang was seeking to kidnap Slav and her family when handing over the ransom, and forcing them to record videos against the Syrian regime. She added that the absence of her children for long hours was introduced in a state of nervous breakdown, which made her live in a state of constant panic.

Slav touched on the debate about her religion, stressing that she refuses to focus on this topic, saying: “I am talking about love and the homeland, my religion is love, and Syria is my affiliation, and I am Muslim.” She also stressed that she celebrates all holidays and believes in coexistence.
