On Thursday, US President Donald Trump issued an executive order to cancel the Ministry of Education.
Trump has described the Ministry of Education as a wasteful bureaucratic device for a liberal ideology.

Canceling the Ministry of Education

The Trump administration began reducing the size of the ministry by laying down employees and canceling some programs, as the workforce is reduced in half, in addition to large reductions in the Civil Rights Office and the Institute of Education Sciences, which collects data on the level of academic progress in the country.
