6.2 degrees … a strong earthquake hit Panama at a depth of 6 miles

A strong earthquake off the coast of Panama overlooking the Pacific Ocean struck the middle part of the country on Friday, without many people in the capital.
The earthquake center signed about 76 miles (123 km) in the southern region of southeast Borica in the Pacific Ocean.

The earthquake strength reached 2.6 degrees, according to the American Geological Survey, and it was 6 miles (10 km).
The National Civil Defense Authority explained that the population felt the earthquake in several provinces in central Panama, but no immediate reports of injuries or damages.
