A standard level of electronic payments in South Korea during 2024

On March 22 / WAM / South Korean Central Bank data showed that the volume of electronic payments in this country reached a record level last year, with the increasing number of people participating in non -contact trade. It is expected that the average volume of daily electronic financial transactions will reach 959.4 billion WNA (657.4 million US dollars) in 2024, an increase of 9.6% over the previous year, according to data issued by the Central Bank of Korea. Reading is the highest level since the central bank began collecting data on electronic payments in 2007.
The average number of daily electronic financial transactions increased by 12.3% on an annual basis to 30.7 million in 2024.
E -financial transactions include all online payments and mobile phone, as well as purchases that are carried out using credit cards and direct cloud cards.
