The Ministry of Industry and Trade participates in the Arab Day for Standardization 2025

The Ministry of Industry and Trade participates on the Arab Standing Day, which falls on March 25 of each year, to enhance awareness of the importance of measurement in supporting economic and social development, and praising the contributions of regional and international organizations and partners in this field.

The Department of Examination and Metrology at the Ministry of Industry and Trade seeks to set a set of specifications that define the general framework of sustainability and environmental preservation, which enables institutions and individuals to achieve the desired goals by adopting effective administrative practices, rationalizing the use of resources, protecting the environment, and enhancing the health and safety of the consumer.

The administration also continues to develop the national energy efficiency regulations, which supports the national energy efficiency plan, and organizes a set of efficiency requirements for a number of electrical products such as: air conditioners with large and small capacity, lighting products, refrigerators and homelands, washing machines, dryers, and household water heaters.

This year celebrates the Arab Day for Standardization under the slogan “Standardization is a bridge for Arab economic integration”, to highlight the role of measure in achieving economic development and integration, by setting the standard specifications that support individuals and institutions in applying effective practices to reduce losses, rationalize consumption, preserving the environment, health and safety of consumer.
