The Council of Muslim Elders strongly condemns the terrorist attack on a mosque in Niger

Abu Dhabi, March 25 / WAM / The Council of Muslim Elders, headed by His Excellency the Grand Imam, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al -Tayeb, Sheikh of Al -Azhar Al -Sharif, was strongly condemned the terrorist attack that targeted worshipers in a mosque in the village of Fambita, affiliated to the municipality of Tira in the southwest of Niger, and resulted in the killing and injury of dozens of innocent people.
In a statement issued today, the Council affirmed its categorical rejection of such terrorist acts that are incompatible with the tolerant teachings of Islam and all the heavenly laws, covenants and international laws, calling for the need to work to enhance efforts to spread the culture of tolerance, coexistence and peace.
The Council of Muslim Elders expressed my sincere condolences to the government and people of Niger and the families and families of the victims, asking the Almighty to grant those with a speedy recovery.
