المملكة: Food and medicine are preparing for a safe pilgrimage … training and assumptions for the safety of the guests of Rahman

The Food and Drug Authority continues its intensive efforts in preparation for the next Hajj season, by implementing a package of training programs and active participation in common assumptions, with the aim of enhancing readiness and ensuring a rapid response to any possible health incidents, in order to ensure the health and safety of the guests of Rahman.
In the context of these preparations, the commission stated that it participated effectively during the last month of Ramadan in the work of the National Center for Health Crisis and Disaster Management at Mina Hospital, which strengthened coordination between relevant government agencies and supporting joint preventive efforts.

Food poisoning

The authority in Makkah Al -Mukarramah organized a specialized workshop on “food poisoning”, targeting its employees assigned to work in the center, where the focus was on rapid interaction mechanisms with suspected cases, explaining the regular procedures followed, and emphasizing the importance of immediate reporting and coordination between the concerned authorities.
On the other hand, practical training, the authority’s office in Makkah Al -Mukarramah participated in a common effectiveness to simulate a virtual food poisoning incident. This hypothesis was organized under the leadership of the Ministry of Health, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Tourism, the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, and the Secretariat of the Holy Capital.

The readiness of government agencies

The authority explained that the aim of this participation is to measure the readiness of the relevant government agencies to deal with such incidents, and to enhance cooperation and integration between them, as well as assessing the operational plans for emergency to ensure effective response and rapid control of any food outbreaks that may occur.
The National Center for Health Crisis and Disaster Management is an essential pillar in the emergency response system during the Hajj, as it represents a meeting point for all relevant authorities to enhance integration, readiness and unify efforts.
The center is working on risk management, monitoring health situations in a manner, supporting immediate decisions and activating emergency plans, in addition to overseeing the readiness of health facilities to ensure response speed.

These initiatives are part of the continuous supervisory and supervisory tasks carried out by the Food and Drug General Authority, and it comes as a continuation of its intense awareness and preventive efforts during the Hajj season.
The authority affirmed the continuation of field control and inspection through its various branches and offices, with the aim of ensuring the commitment of food establishments to health standards, and checking the safety of food and pharmaceutical products and medical devices along the stages of manufacturing, storage and distribution.
Through these integrated programs and activities, the authority aims to ensure the provision of food, medicine and safe medical devices for all pilgrims and pilgrims, while enhancing integration between all concerned authorities, in a way that translates the directives of rational leadership in serving the guests of Rahman and providing the utmost safety and care for them.
