"Abu Dhabi Air" Collaborate with "Artcher Aviation" To operate the first aircraft "Midnit" Electrical

Abu Dhabi, March 27/ WAM/ Abu Dhabi Airlines Group signed a strategic memorandum of understanding, with “Artcher Aviation” to operate the first version of its “Mediait” helicopter, as part of a global program launched by “Archer” from Abu Dhabi in cooperation with “Abu Dhabi Air” to operate a preliminary fleet in coordination with the General Authority of Civil Aviation in the country, to build the flying taxi system on top. Safety standards.

The items of the memo included the cooperation of the two sides in establishing a framework that allows Archer to target other markets, build operational competencies, and achieve expected revenues, as well as enhance the demand for long -term.

In addition to the fleet of aircraft, “Artcher” will provide teams of pilots, technicians and engineers to support the initial operating stage, ensuring the deployment of aircraft efficiently and safely.

Archer also intends to provide an integrated software infrastructure that includes the application of reservations to support civil air transport.

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding was attended by His Excellency Nader Al Hammadi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi Air Group, and His Excellency Badr Al -Ulama, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, where Abu Dhabi Air announced its intention to finance the operation of the “Medanit” plane within the new commercial program, thus becoming the first operator of these aircraft in the region.

His Excellency Nader Al Hammadi said that the signing of this strategic partnership comes after the group’s follow -up for years of developments related to vertical electrical aircraft technologies (EVTOL), expressing pride in partnership with “Archer” to attract this type of innovation to the UAE.

He added: “As a leading group in the aviation sector in the region and the largest operator of helicopters in the Middle East, we have the expertise necessary to develop urban air transport services that can be expandable, and we are aspiring to leadership in launching flying taxi services in the region, starting from Abu Dhabi.”

For his part, Adam Goldstein, founder and CEO of “Archer Aviation”, said that the first version of the “Mediait” planes represents the beginning of a new chapter of Archer, and this partnership will constitute a business model that enables the company to deploy its aircraft and expand its operations globally.

“Archer” seeks to make a transformation in the civil transport sector, by replacing land flights that take between 60 to 90 minutes with cars and buses, with electric flights that take between 10 to 20 minutes, and are characterized by their calmness and environmental sustainability.

The “Mediait” plane is also a vertical electric plane that can accommodate four passengers in addition to the pilot, which is designed to operate consecutive flights, while reducing the shipping period between flights.
