Trump: Greenland will be 100% American

US President Donald Trump stated that he is fully confident of the success of his plan to control and acquire Greenland without the need to use military force, stressing at the same time that he does not rule out any option.

Yesterday, in an interview with the “NBC” network, Trump confirmed that he had “serious talks” about Greenland’s annexation.

“We will get 100%Greenland,” Trump said in response to a question about the feasibility of his efforts to include the island.

“There is a good possibility that we can do this without using military force … but I do not exclude anything,” Trump added.

When asked about the message that Washington might send to Russia and the rest of the world through its acquisition of Greenland, Trump said: “I do not really think about that … I don’t care … Greenland is a completely separate topic, and it is very different … it relates to international peace, security, and strength.”

Trump’s comments came a day after his deputy, JD Vans, to Greenland with his wife, Osha, visited a controversial move amid Washington’s interest in acquiring the island.

While he was at the Bitofic space base, a base of the American satellite forces on the northwestern coast of Greenland, Vans said: “Our message to Denmark is very simple … You have not performed good work for the people of Greenland.”

Denmark witnessed, in several cities, including the capital, Copenhagen, yesterday, demonstrations against the United States’s repeated demand in Greenland.

The demonstrators carried the flags of Greenland and Denmark and small banners saying “Greenland is not for sale.”

It is noteworthy that Trump stressed this March that Greenland, which is still affiliated with the Danish Kingdom, despite granting autonomy, will become “in one way or another” under the control of the United States.
