After the devastating earthquake, a 5.1 -degree shock hit Myanmar

The US Geological Survey reported that a 5.1 -degree shock hit an area 13 miles northwest of Mandalay in Myanmar.
No immediate reports on more damage were reported. Many of the 1.5 million residents of Mandalay spent the night in the streets, either because of their displacement due to the earthquake, which also shook the neighboring Thailand and killed at least 17 people there, or because of their concern that the continuous spoving tremors may cause unstable structures.
Kara Brag, director of Catholic Relief Services in Myanmar, based in Yangon, said that until now 1644 people have been reported in Myanmar and the loss of 3408, but many areas have not yet been reached and many rescue efforts have been made so far by people working in their hands to try to remove the rubble, said Kara Brag, Director of Catholic Relief Services in Myanmar, based in Yangon.

“I have also witnessed reports that some countries are now sending search and rescue teams to Mandalay to support efforts, but hospitals are actually fighting to deal with the flow of the injured and there is a lack of medical supplies and citizens are fighting to find food and clean water.”
