The death of more than 300 people as a result of the cholera epidemic in Angola

The World Health Organization announced that 329 people were killed as a result of the cholera epidemic in Angola.
She explained that the disease spread quickly to 16 out of 21 provinces in Angola, and all age groups, “noting that the total number of cases amounted to 8,543 injuries.

Cholera epidemic in Angola

“Due to the rapid development of the epidemic, the continuation of the rainy season, and the cross -border movement with neighboring countries, the World Health Organization warns of the risk of infection in Angola and its surrounding areas as it is very high,” she added.

The African Union Health Agency announced earlier this month that Namibia, the southern neighbor of Angola, recorded the first cholera injury in about a decade.

Victims of the cholera epidemic

Last February, the Angolan authorities announced the death of 163 people of cholera out of 4,582 injuries, since the beginning of this year.
The Angolan Ministry of Health reported that it recorded 4,582 cases of cholera, of which 2207 cases in the capital, Landa.
