The Kingdom’s pavilion in Bologna presents a symposium “Philosophical Thinking in Saudi Arabia”

Within the activities of the Bologna International Book Fair 2025, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s pavilion, whose participation is led by the Literature, Publishing and Translation Authority on the secondary stage, presented a symposium entitled “Philosophical Thinking in Saudi Arabia”.
During which the affection of Al -Hamid spoke, as she stressed that teaching philosophical thinking in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a step towards building critical minds and capable of interacting with the major questions of life, which helps them to develop analytical and logical skills that enhance their ability to face the challenges of the times.
It also contributes to expanding their cultural horizons, and enhances their understanding of moral and societal concepts, to be able to make deliberate decisions that contribute to the progress of Saudi society towards the future.

Deep thinking

Al -Hamid indicated that philosophical thinking is a kind of deep thinking that seeks to understand the foundations and principles on which knowledge, existence, and morals are based, and is characterized by critical question, logical analysis, and meditation on major issues that do not have clear or direct answers.
She explained that there are characteristics of philosophical thinking represented in deep question, abstraction, critical methodology, logical and comprehensive interconnection, citing a visionary institute as a model for teaching philosophical thinking.
