The customs duties crisis .. China accuses America of unilateral and economic bullying

Today, Monday, China accused the United States of unilateral, fever and economic bullying by imposing customs duties.
“The situation of the United States over international rules is a model of unilateralism, protectionism and economic bullying,” Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman, Lyn Jian, told reporters.
Last week, Trump imposed 34% additional customs duties on Chinese goods as part of the “Liberation Day”, in addition to two tour tariffs by 10%, which were already announced in February and March, where Trump said that this came due to Beijing’s role in the fentanel crisis.

Customs duties on China

China and other governments quickly responded, and China announced 34% customs duties on American goods, similar to Trump’s fees on China.
China also suspended the import of fine corn, poultry and fertilizer from some American companies, and the latest Chinese retaliatory measures included imposing more restrictions on rare ground mineral exports necessary for various technologies, as well as a lawsuit before the World Trade Organization.

Global economy

Lynn added that the new customs duties are harmful to the stability of global production and the supply chain, and seriously affects global economic recovery.
“The pressure and threat are not the right way to deal with China, China will strongly defend its legitimate rights and interests,” said Lin.
