The confidence of investors in the eurozone has declined this month to its lowest levels in about a year and a half.
The sub -index of expectations fell to its second lowest level ever, according to the results of the monthly survey of the Sentx Behavioral Research Institute on Monday.

The consumer confidence index in Al -Mwahida declined during April to the negative of 19.5 points, which is its lowest level since October 2023 against a negative 2.9 points during March, which exceeded the expectations of analysts that were 8.9 points negative.
Meanwhile, 33.8 points fell during April, which is its lowest level since October 2023, and the index recorded 15.8 points against 18 points during the previous month.
At the same time, the confidence index in the current position decreased by a small percentage to the negative of 23.3 points during the current month, compared to a negative 21.8 points last month.

Economic trust in Europe

It is noteworthy that the economic hopes increased during the past month significantly after the public spending and borrowing plan in Germany and the eurozone.
The Research Center indicated that the European economy is about to start again thanks to huge investments funded by loans in the fields of defense.
In Germany, economic confidence fell during April to the negative 27.8 points against 12.5 points in March.

Economic expectations index

The economic expectations index also declined by 36.3 points to a negative 15.8 points during the current month, compared to 20.5 points during the past month.
At the same time, the confidence index in the current position increased to the negative of 39 points during the current month, compared to 40.5 points during the past month.
