The European Union suspends its anti -American goods fees for 90 days

Ursula von der Line, President of the European Commission, announced the European Union’s decision to suspend the customs measures of anti -commodity for 90 days.
This announcement came after a similar decision by US President Donald Trump to suspend the customs duties that the United States recently imposed on the European Union and other countries for 90 days after entering into force yesterday morning Wednesday.
Von der Line, in a post on the “X” social networking platform, explained that this comment aims to give an opportunity for negotiations between the two parties to settle the escalating trade disputes.
She emphasized that in the event that negotiations do not result in satisfactory results, European counter measures will enter into force, noting that the preparatory works for additional measures are still ongoing, and that all options are on the table.
The European Union has already adopted its first counter -measures, which are fees for specific American products such as motorcycles, soybeans and poultry, in response to American graphics on steel and aluminum, and other measures were to respond to the additional American customs duties to cars and all European products by 20% at the beginning of next week.
Von der Line previously welcomed the US President’s decision to suspend customs duties, describing the move as an important to stabilize the global economy.
