Customs duties on China rise to 145%

The White House confirmed that the significant increase in customs duties imposed by US President Donald Trump on Chinese goods and entered into force Thursday, raises the additional identities imposed by Washington on Beijing to 145%.
The White House order shows that Trump’s decision to suspend the new customs duties on dozens of countries for 90 days entered into force.
But he also raised the new customs duties on Chinese imports to 125%, and this number is added to an additional fee of 20% imposed earlier in the year.
Thus, the total customs duties imposed by Trump on Chinese products this year reach 145%, added to the fees imposed by previous departments.
Exceptions from customs duties
However, the acquaintances of 125% related to China and aimed at addressing practices that Washington prepares are fair, including noticeable exceptions.
The decision excludes products such as steel and aluminum imports, as well as the cars on which Trump imposed a 25%separate customs duties.
The percentage also does not apply to goods such as copper, medicines, semi -conductors, wood and energy products that Trump referred to plans to target separately.
All this draws a more complex image of customs tariff levels, even with the escalation of tensions between Washington and Beijing.
