Sharjah embodies its crowning guest of honor " Rabat Book Fair 2025" Participation in more than 52 events

Sharjah, April 11 / WAM / The Sharjah Book Authority revealed the agenda of the participation of the Emirate of Sharjah, “Guest of Sharaf”, the 30th edition of the International Publishing and Book Fair in Rabat organized by the Culture Sector at the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communications from April 18 to 27.

The emirate is preparing for this purpose to present a comprehensive cultural program that includes more than 52 joint Emirati -Moroccan events, including dialogue sessions, workshops and heritage activities organized by the Sharjah Book Authority in cooperation with a number of Emirati cultural institutions through its official pavilion in the exhibition hosted by the Swiss Swiss space.

The announcement of the cultural program for Sharjah in the exhibition came during a press conference organized by the Moroccan Ministry of Culture in the presence of His Excellency Mohamed Mahdi Bensaid, Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication in Morocco, and His Excellency Ahmed bin Rakad Al -Amiri, CEO of the Sharjah Book Authority and a group of officials in Morocco and Sharjah.

And His Excellency Ahmed bin Rakad Al -Amiri said: “We have been honored in the previous version of the Sharjah International Book Fair with the hosting of the Kingdom of Morocco, a guest of honor that enriched the Sharjah Cultural activities with its knowledge and cultural treasures and added to it a special dimension. Today we are pleased that Sharjah will be the guest of honor of the 30th session of the International Publishing and Book Fair in Rabat in a participation that represents the depth of brotherly relations that link the United Arab Emirates to the Kingdom of Morocco.

Al -Amiri added that this participation translates the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah towards enhancing the elements of communication and dialogue with the Arab culture countries and comes with the follow -up of Sheikha Badour Bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Book Authority, where the Sharjah Events Program brings together 17 entities and cultural institutions with the participation of 11 Emirati writers .. We believe that the exhibition represents a spacious space for the communication of painters and creators from the Emirates and Morocco, including It enhances artistic and cultural dialogue between the two sides.

He said: “We carry to Morocco an Emirati message that believes that culture is a language that brings peoples together with books, and we hope that the Emirati culture in this great exhibition will represent with the thought and creativity it carries a bridge for cultural communication between the Arab Gulf and the Maghreb and to contribute to deepening knowledge and creative exchange between the people of the United Arab Emirates and the sisterly Kingdom of Morocco.”

The activities of the guest of honor gathered during the exhibition, a group of Emirati writers and writers, during which they review the cultural participants between the Arab East and its Maghreb and light on issues of literature, language, joint heritage, writing of children, publishing challenges and other issues that enhance Arab cultural rapprochement.

The cultural program includes a series of seminars and dialogue sessions that bring together a group of intellectuals and researchers from the UAE and Morocco, including the symposium “The Historical Side of the Department of Dr. Sultan Al Qasimi” by Ali Ibrahim Al -Marri and “Al -Mutlaf and the Different in the East and West dialects Al -Jabri and Moroccan critic Said Qatin.

The Sharjah Pavilion also organizes the session “The aesthetics of the Emirati and Moroccan Heritage Architecture” with the participation of the Emirati researcher Dr. Hamad bin Saray and Dr. Zohour Karam, who discuss similarities and differentiation between traditional architecture in the two countries.

In the axis of literature, the program is witnessing a bouquet of sessions that bring together a group of writers, critics and poets from the Emirates and Morocco, most notably the symposium “Moroccan literature … restoring Arabic poetry with the new technological media” with the participation of Dr. Sultan Al -Amimi, Aziz Al -Husaini, Muhammad Al -Anz, Zahour Karam and the women’s symposium and the women’s production strategy “with the participation of Aisha Belbarbi, Lulwa Al -Mansouri, Badia Al Hashemi, along with a session “The Desert in Contemporary Arabic Literature”, with the participation of Dr. Al -Batoul Mahjoub, Maryam Nasser, Aziza Akida and Boushahab, the people of Ali.

The program deals with the reality of the short story in the Emirates and Morocco during the symposium of “Narrachids” with the participation of Maryam Nasser, Maryam Al -Ghafli and Abdel Nabi Dishin, while the “Water in Literary Literary” session lights with the participation of Lulwa Al -Mansouri and Mahfouz Abdel Latif on the manifestations of water in the Emirati and Moroccan narration.

In the poetry space, three main evenings are held, which are: “Under one sky” with the participation of Kholoud Al -Mualla, Idris Al -Miliani and “Echoes” with the participation of Khaled Al -Badour, Amal Al -Sahlawi, Akram Abdi and “Mirrors of Al -Kalam” with the participation of Abdullah Al -Huda and Ahmed Al -Harshi, in addition to the series “Nights of Poetry” presented by both poets Khaled Al -Badour, Abdullah Al -Haddah and Kholoud Al -Mualla.

In the axis of child literature, the program includes the session “Aesthetics of the Book of the Emirati and Moroccan Child” that brings together the writer Fatima Al -Amiri and the critic Mustafa Al -Nahal.

The UAE Council of Recreen wrote the session “Popular Tales between Cultures” that reviews how to re -present the common storytelling heritage between the UAE and Morocco in a contemporary language and the session “writing for children and adolescents … experiences from the Emirates and Morocco” with the participation of Sheikha Al -Jabri, Fatima Al -Amri and Ahmed Bensaid.

The program is devoted to an introductory session of the International Prize for Arab Child Literature, which was known as the Etisalat Prize for the Children’s Book in cooperation with the UAE Council for Advisors.

The council is organizing an introductory session on the “Kan Yama Kan” initiative, which represents a bridge that connects children with stories even in the most difficult circumstances and reviews its efforts in establishing libraries in five Moroccan schools.

The Emirates Association for Libraries and Information, in cooperation with a number of Moroccan specialists, allocates a series of sessions that deal with libraries issues and preserving cognitive heritage, the most prominent of which is the session “History of Libraries in Morocco and Manuscripts Career … Scientific Memory and Civilization Heritage” with the participation of Fahd Al -Maamari, Ahmed Shawky and “Arab Manuscripts Carees: Attempts to Inventory and Evidence Experiences” with the participation of Fahd Al -Maamari and Dr. Edham Hanash and “Libraries Space for Creativity and Cultural Communication” with the participation of Faraj Al -Dhafiri and Fahd Al -Maamari.

While he speaks in the session “Reading in a manuscript: Explanation of the Silwan Kindergarten system in hunting” Moroccan writer and researcher Yahya Al -Kandari, and Dr. Rami Kamal Abdel Hamid discusses the role of digital libraries in scientific research. “

The session of “Arab Professional Library Associations and its role in developing the cultural sector” is gathered by Fahd Al -Maamari, Nabhan Al -Harrasi and Badia Rahmouni.

In the axis of the arts, the Sharjah Pavilion organizes an artistic meeting entitled “Andalusia: a future visual simulation” that brings together a group of Emirati artists and Moroccans participating in the artistic production project that bears the same title, namely Ahmed Jared, Alia Al Hammadi, Bashir Amal, Rafia Al Nassar, Nour Al -Khumairi and Moulay Youssef Al -Kahiz

The Sharjah Book Authority, within the guest of honor program, organizes two workshops for children for children, “from east to west” and “Arabic decorations” with the participation of the painters Alia Al Hammadi, Nour Al -Khamiri and Rafia Al -Nassar.

As part of her participation in the 30th edition of the International Publishing and Writers Exhibition in Rabat, she reviews the “Blash Her” initiative launched by Sheikha Badour Bint Sultan Al Qasimi her efforts in empowering female writers, flyers and creative content makers in the Arab world.

The initiative highlights its role in supporting women working in the book industry and providing professional platforms for them to build networks of relationships and exchange experiences with their counterparts from all over the world to enhance the position of Arab women in the publishing and literary creativity sector.
