30 %growth in demand for solar energy systems in the Emirates within 3 months

Specialists and officials of international companies operating in the field of supplying solar energy systems and panels said that the Emirati markets are witnessing a growth in the demand for these systems at rates of 30% since the beginning of this year, compared to the same period last year.

They mentioned to «Emirates Today», on the sidelines of the participation in the “Middle East Energy” exhibition, which recently concluded its activities at the Dubai World Trade Center, that the cost of supplying solar panels globally at rates ranged between 10 and 20%, and increasing awareness among dealers in the feasibility of these systems, in addition to the expansion of diversification of supplied products, and the growth of government and industrial institutions demand, all of which supported the remarkable rise in demand Local.

In detail, the Director of Sales at Flage Sun to supply solar energy systems, April Deng, said that the cost of supplying solar panels and systems witnessed a decline at rates of more than 20%, compared to its cost almost two years ago, which supported the increase in demand for them in the UAE markets at rates of about 30% since the beginning of this year, compared to the similar period last year, indicating at the same time to the growth growth in the demand as well Gulf region, at different rates.

Ding explained that increasing awareness among many dealers, individuals and companies, with the economic feasibility of solar energy systems, and expanded government plans to rely on these systems in energy generation, was one of the most prominent factors reinforcing demand growth.

She added that the expansion of the supplier companies in diversifying the offered solar panels and launching innovative products, such as types of shock -resistant solar panels, also contributed to increasing demand.

For his part, the project manager at Sun Bill to supply solar energy systems, Alvin Chen, said that the UAE markets are characterized by the continuous growth of demand for solar energy panels, with the support of the momentum of business sectors, high awareness and government expansion plans in those systems, pointing out that the growth of demand for these products has reached about 30% since the beginning of this year.

He indicated that the decline in global prices for solar energy systems is one of the factors that motivated the increased demand for the use of solar energy systems in local markets.

In turn, the first development engineer at the Fires Tech Company, Alexei Dabukov, considered that “the UAE government agencies are at the forefront of the most demanding institutions on solar energy systems during the recent period, in addition to various industrial and commercial institutions,” explaining that the increase in awareness among dealers and institutions operating in the Emirates contributed to the growth of demand for solar panels.

In the context, the director of account development at A Wan Tu Systems, to the solar energy systems, Bangtos Malisis, said that “the cost of supplying the solar panels globally by about 15% during the recent period, contributed to supporting the demand for these panels in the state and region markets since the beginning of this year, and at rates that ranged between 20 and 30%, compared to the same period last year.”

He pointed out that there are innovations and expansion in the types of solar panels offered in the markets to include foldable and more wind -resistant products, along with other different types, which supports increasing alternatives offered to customers, whether individuals or institutions.

In addition, the director of the company “Hilber Solar”, Thomas Hillber, stated that the intensity of global competition in offering different products and providing appropriate prices for solar energy systems is one of the auxiliary factors that motivated the increase in demand for these systems at different rates, whether in the markets of the state and the region or in global markets.
