المملكة: Honorary doctorate for the Kingdom’s ambassador in Britain from the Arab Marine Academy

The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, one of the organizations of the League of Arab States, has granted an honorary doctorate to His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the United Kingdom, President of the thirty -third session of the General Assembly of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), during an official ceremony held at the headquarters of the International Maritime Organization in London.
This honor comes in appreciation of his prominent contributions in supporting the efforts and initiatives of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the maritime sector and support the aspirations of Arab countries, as well as its role in promoting the sustainability of the marine industry and its contributions to achieving the goals of the international maritime organization, in addition to its active leadership to head the thirty -third session of the organization’s general assembly, which formed an important station in the march of Arab and international maritime work.

Maritime transport sector

His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Sultan said in his speech on this occasion: “I thank the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, and those in charge of it, for this honor, which represents an incentive to enhance joint work towards empowering Arab countries in the maritime transport sector, and consolidating their presence in international forums.”
He pointed out that the advancement of this vital sector requires continuing cooperation and exchanging experiences, in a way that contributes to supporting sustainable development and achieving maritime and logistical integration in the region.

The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport is a specialized Arab educational institution, working to highlight leadership efforts in the marine sector, and to provide scientific and training support for the development of human competencies in the fields of maritime and logistical transport, through academic programs and cooperative initiatives that serve the Arab region.
