Today, Saturday, the strong winds and the risk of sand storms pushed Beijing to cancel hundreds of flights and close public parks, while storms caused hundreds of trees to drop, destroy cars and damage homes through the Chinese capital.
The huge Beijing Air, Beijing Capital and Dashing, canceled 693 flights by two in the afternoon, and issued warnings that the weather will get worse, especially in the north of the country and along the coastal areas.
The concerned authorities canceled more flights and railway flights in other parts of China.

The strongest wind in 75 years

Some parts of the country recorded the strongest winds in more than 75 years, with a speed of up to 148 km per hour.

The strong winds and sandstorms are generated in the dry northern China, where the Jobi deserts, and Taklamakan are surrounded by meadows, mountains and forests.
And China has tried over the decades of alleviating the impact of sand storms, especially in Beijing, which is located on the edge of an arid area and where such storms can reduce the vision to its inception and cause a lack of comfort for the eye, nose and ear.
