“Logistics” includes 152 new trucks to their fleet

Abu Dhabi, April 15 / WAM / The “Logistics”, affiliated with the Abu Dhabi Ports Group, today, announced the purchase of 152 long distance trucks, to enhance land shipping operations in the Middle East.
The expansion of the fleet comes in response to the strong growth pace of “Logistics” work, and its focus on its long -term strategy to manage supply chains for dealers throughout the region, in parallel with its commitment to environmental sustainability practices.
The advanced trucks will enhance the “Logisti” capacity to develop regional land shipping services, with a capacity of 6000 tons, and its fleet will increase from about 450 vehicles to more than 600 vehicles.
These advanced trucks have the ability to transport packed goods in containers, refrigerated and loose shipments, and will support the work of customers in major industrial sectors, including the energy sectors, plastic plastics, food and consumer goods, cars, medicines and health care, and others.
On the other hand, these trucks have several advantages in terms of their efficiency of fuel consumption, low nitrogen oxide emissions and microscopic emissions, through environmentally friendly diesel engines, which reflects the compatibility of the process of buying these trucks with the company’s sustainability agenda, which is consistent with the group’s efforts to reach carbon neutrality by general solutions 2050.
Samir Chatorfidi, CEO of “Logistics”, said that expanding the size of the company’s regional fleet and providing it is more efficient and sustainable solutions, is not just an investment in its operations, but rather an investment in its dealers and work environments, pointing out that the increase in the capacity provided by the fleet reflects the growing presence of “Logisti” in the Middle East, which comes in harmony with Its strategy to expand its network, which extends across 26 countries, allows it to manage regional supply chains with flexibility and smoothness, and link customers to global markets and major trade corridors.
It is expected that the process of delivering the new trucks will complete the end of the second quarter of this year, as the trucks will enter the service and are linked to the advanced communications system from the advanced “control tower” managed by the logistical cities, which is a central platform based on global positioning techniques, and the truck -ranging paths and carriers analysis systems, which allows the monitoring of the driver’s behavior and the management of vehicle movement in an immediate way, and ensures enhancing efficiency and safety, and increasing The reliability of the services provided to the growing customers base at the regional and global levels.
