Abu Dhabi Police enhances awareness of the safety of students within the “safe return of schools” initiative

The Directorate of Traffic and Security Patrols in the Abu Dhabi Police is implementing an initiative under the slogan “A safe return to schools” in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra to enhance students’ safety, as part of the strategic priority, which is road security.

Brigadier Saif Hamad Al -Zaabi, Deputy for Security Patrols Affairs at the Traffic and Security Patrols Directorate, affirmed the interest of Abu Dhabi Police in enhancing awareness for the safety of students, praising the sponsorship and support of leadership for education, which is a key pillar in the development of our country, and an integrated and developed system based on cooperation between the family and the school, the combination of knowledge, morals and education, and benefiting from technology and artificial intelligence with consciousness and responsibility.

He explained that the initiative focuses on enhancing students’ ability to adapt to the atmosphere of return to schools, and motivate them to appeal to learn flexible and active, and achieve awareness of traffic safety, wishing students a happy academic year through which they achieve success, excellence and the best scientific results.

Adherence to the specified speed

He urged drivers to pay attention and focus while driving in the school area, at pedestrian lines, road marks and surroundings, and traffic safety procedures and adherence to them, in order to avoid accidents, urge vehicles and school bus drivers not to override, and adhere to the speed specified on the roads, in order to preserve school students.

Lt. Col. Rukn Saeed Khalaf Al Dhaheri, Head of the Department of Awareness and Traffic Education in the Traffic and Security Patrols Directorate, stressed the importance of the role of strategic partners in promoting awareness, traffic culture and community participations, pointing to the continuous interest of Abu Dhabi Police in promoting traffic awareness of drivers, road users and our students, students, pointing to the importance of joint cooperation in achieving the goals of the traffic safety system in society.

The Traffic Department and Security Patrols in the Al Ain region, represented by the Awareness and Traffic Education branch team, implemented the initiative (safe return of schools) at the Al -Bawadi Mall Commercial Center Theater in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority and the Sa’id Traffic Systems Company.

The team participated in the effectiveness of Al Ain Gardens Competitions in the Nahel Park for Families in cooperation with Al Ain Municipality, Al -Hir branch, and the public was introduced to the role of the happiness patrol, the work of awareness competitions and the distribution of symbolic gifts to the public.
