The environment calls for any dangerous animal in the possession of an unlicensed person

The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment called on members of society and licensed installations to immediately report any cases related to dangerous animals, based on Article (10) of Federal Law No. (22) of 2016, which regulates the possession of these animals, with the aim of protecting public safety and ensuring the application of the best standards in dealing with them.

The Ministry has identified 8 major cases that require immediate reporting and communication with the competent authorities, including 6 cases of licensed installations, and include “the animal’s injury to one of the infectious or epidemiological diseases or suspicion of that, the animal’s death, the loss of the animal, the injury of a person or his death as a result of an attack from the animal, and the desire of the facility to abandon the animal or its inability to keep it or care for it and transfer its possession to another facility.”

It also identified two cases in which individuals must communicate and inform the competent authorities, and include “finding any of the dangerous animals, valid or lost, or knowing that there is a dangerous animal with any unauthorized holder of his possession.”

The Ministry affirmed through its official accounts on social media, that the law of organizing the possession of dangerous animals was issued in the context of keenness to protect biological diversity and ensure public safety for members of society, and the law aims to regulate the possession, possession, circulation and propagation of dangerous animals, protecting humans and other animals from harm to dangerous animals and the transmission of their diseases and causes to it and other animals, and ensuring that these animals get good care.
