Sharjah to Singapore, May 13, in preparation for the “Asian Final 2”

The AFC decision to change the stadium of the final match between Sharjah and the Lyon City team in the AFC Champions League 2, scheduled for next May 18, found a great satisfaction among the Sharkia castle, after the club had made an official letter in this regard to the continental federation via the UAE Football Association, while the director of the Sharjah team, Badr Ahmed Al Hammadi, said that there is somewhat satisfaction with the AFC decision By changing the stadium of the match, from the “Gallan Bossar” stadium, which depends on the artificial grass, to the “Bishhan” stadium, which depends on the natural grass, indicating that he arrived in Singapore, yesterday, to inspect the stadium on which the final match will be held, as well as the hotel in which the Sharjah mission will be held, along with the training fields in order to submit a full report to the Sharjah coach, Oario Cosmin, in this regard, while the club began Sharjah intensifies its movements, with the aim of preparing the team and preparing it well from all aspects of this match, in order to win the Asian title for the first time in its history.

Badr Ahmed told «Emirates Today»: “After sitting with the team coach and consulting with him, it was decided that the Sharjah mission will travel to Singapore on May 13, that is, after the team’s match against Al Ain on the 12th of the same month in the 24th round of the league, in preparation for the final match.”

Badr Ahmed added: “Sharjah will take a preparation camp in Singapore for a period of four days to get used to the weather there, training on the stadium of the match (Bishhan), and the full preparation of the players away from any psychological pressure, and in search of achieving a positive result in the AFC Champions League final.”

On the other hand, Badr Ahmed said, commenting on the great victory that the team achieved against Ajman the day before yesterday with four clean goals in the 22nd round of the ADNOC Professional League, “This victory gives the players a high moral boost to achieve the best ambitions, and this victory also makes the players at the top of technical readiness.”

Sharjah is currently ranked second in the UAE league teams with 44 points.

It is noteworthy that Sharjah had sent an official letter to the Asian Football Confederation through the Emirates Football Association calling for changing the stadium of the match, given that it is not suitable for holding the match, as it depends on the artificial grass, but Lyon City club in turn issued an official statement during which he adhered to holding the match at the “Gallan Bossar Stadium”, and refused to transfer it to any other stadium before the continental federation resolved the controversy in this regard, and decides to hold the match in this regard. The “Bishan” stadium with a natural grass, but this stadium accommodates only 5,000 spectators, and is located in the city center and is more like a training field, surrounded by buildings and trees in all respects, with the exception of one interface that contains the stands.
