7.8 billion dirhams of non -oil trade between Dubai and Angola in 2024

The Dubai Chamber of Commerce, one of the three rooms operating under the umbrella of Dubai Chambers, coordinated 252 bilateral works between Dubai companies and their counterparts in the Angolan capital, Landa, during the first station of the Chamber’s commercial mission to both Angola and Mozambique, within the framework of the “New Prospects for External Expansion”, through which the Chamber aims to stimulate the expansion of companies operating in the emirate towards promising global markets.
According to the room, the value of non -oil trade between Dubai and Angola 7.8 billion dirhams during 2024, a growth of 3.3% compared to 2023, and the number of Angolan companies registered in the Dubai Chamber of Commerce membership reached 72 at the end of March 2025.
The Chamber stated, in a statement yesterday, that he participated in the activities of the mission to Angola, representatives of 20 private companies in Dubai, specialized in a variety of sectors, including both the agricultural sector, construction, building materials, electronic devices, energy, petrochemicals, in addition to engineering services, consumer products, foodstuffs and drinks, as well as information technology, industrial sector, marine services, sea freight, metal industries and sector Real estate and retail, along with logistics and supply chains.
The activities of the commercial mission included the organization of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce for a business forum in Luanda, entitled “Practicing Business with Angola”, with the support of the UAE embassy in Luanda, the Ministry of Industry and Trade in Angola, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Angola, in addition to the Investment and Export Promotion Agency in Angola, and the General Consulate of the Angola Republic in Dubai.
The forum witnessed a speech by the Minister of Industry and Trade of Angola, Roy Megwins de Oliveira, delivered on his behalf by the Director of Integration and Economic Development at the Angolan Ministry of Industry and Trade, Antonio Mikotin Domingose.
The forum also witnessed the words of the UAE ambassador to Angola, Salem Ali Al Shamsi, and the head of the Angola Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Eng. Vincent Suarez.
The forum attracted 416 participants from official personalities, business leaders and Angolan companies interested in exploring partnership opportunities with members of the Chamber’s delegation, and the Director General of Dubai Chambers, Mohammed Ali Rashid Lootah said: “We are committed to developing bridges of trade and investment cooperation between Dubai and the countries of the world, in order to support common development goals and interests, as the activities of this commercial mission contribute to providing more promising business opportunities for companies operating in Dubai to expand in vital markets Which includes Angola, which enhances the competitiveness of the business community in the emirate, and the growth of non -oil foreign trade. ”
During his participation in the Business Forum, the Vice President of International Relations in the Chambers of Dubai, Salem Al Shamsi, presented an expanded introductory presentation on the economic scene in Dubai, and reviewed the competitive advantages offered by the emirate to companies and investors.
In the context of the forum, a dialogue session was organized with the participation of a member of the Board of Directors of the Investment and Export Promotion Agency in Angola, Jeromeino Nonda Bangolula, who reviewed the economic and investment ingredients in Angola, and the appropriate strategies for Dubai companies to practice business and expand the Angolan market, and benefit from the growth opportunities it provides in various sectors.
Promising sectors
Dubai Chamber of Commerce has identified a group of promising export sectors from Dubai to Angola, led by mobile phones, textiles, aluminum plates, pharmaceuticals and rice, in addition to perfumes.
As for the most important sectors that provide investment opportunities in Angola for Dubai companies, they are represented in the marine technologies for the oil and gas sector and airport management, as well as marine services, including fish and ports farms, as well as medical services and equipment, and infrastructure projects, including air transport and railways.
. 72 Angolan companies are registered in the Dubai Chamber of Commerce membership at the end of March 2025.
