Al Ain team manager, Ahmed Al Shamsi, denied the validity of what is circulating regarding the approach of the “leader” to contract with a number of names, in the context of preparations for the upcoming participation in the World Cup for Clubs scheduled in mid -June, stressing that what is circulating is merely jurisprudence, in light of the great interest that the team receives, revealing the meeting of the board of directors of Al Ain Football Club with Serbian coach Vladimir Evic to discuss the preparations for global participation.
Al-Shamsi said in press statements after the team’s victory 3-0 against Bani Yas in the 22nd round of the ADNOC Professional League: “There is a great interest from the local and international media, so many jurisprudence appears about the team interested in contracting with one player or another, what I can say is that the board of directors of Al Ain Football Club is keen to prepare the team to participate in the World Cup for Clubs scheduled in June, so talking about contracts is premature.”
He added: «At the present time, we must give our players their right, as their contracts are still valid, and it is shameful to talk about we are negotiating players, because that sends negative messages to them. The season has not ended yet, and the transfers to score players in the World Cup list will be during the period from 1 to 10 June, and this means that talking about this matter is premature.
Al -Shamsi stressed that the board of directors of Al Ain Club company is working seriously to prepare the team, saying: “Certainly, the board of directors is considered the number of this participation, and they have an integrated file, and they enjoy experience and capabilities. We are confident that they are able to equip the leader to honor the country and make the Emirati masses happy. ”
He revealed a meeting between the Board of Directors and the Serbian coach, Vladimir Evic, to discuss preparations, and said: “The time is narrow, especially since the tournament comes at the end of the season, and the board of directors met with the coach and discussed many aspects.”
Al -Shamsi pointed out that the preparation for the club’s World Cup will also include preparing for the new season, explaining: “It is impossible to prepare a team for only one month, so preparation will also be for the next season, which I expect to be a difficult season, and it is necessary to return to compete for the local championships after a long absence.”
He praised the mentality of the team’s players and their professionalism, saying: “It may be a narrow time between the end of the season and the start of the Club World Cup, but we have players with a distinctive professional mindset, and they realize the importance of participating in the world championship, as they know the importance of returning to achieve local championships. Our work will not be through talking in the media, but on the ground, and through our participation in the World Cup clubs, we will strive to delight the Emirati fans in general, and the fans of Al Ain in particular. ”
Regarding the possibility of the team’s use of players from local clubs, Al -Shamsi said: “Certainly, any Emirati player is an honor to participate in the most expensive club championship, and certainly they have the right to participate. We are all the respect and appreciation of all clubs, and as I mentioned, the contract file requires careful and not rushing. I repeat, we are fully confident that the board of directors is working to equip the team in the best possible way. ”

Frankly, there is a serious work and will be special, but we must be patient, and at the end of May the good news will continue. ”
Our goal is to end the league in third place
