Among them are the ministries of defense and the interior .. Damascus welcomes the lifting of British sanctions for 12 Syrian entities

The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed Britain’s decision to amend its regulations for the sanctions imposed on Syria, which included the lifting of sanctions for 12 Syrian entities.
The ministry said in a statement on its official page on the “X” platform, today, that “this decision represents a construction step towards normalizing international relations and supporting the urgent needs of the Syrian people, after the destroyed war that has suffered for about 14 years.”
London announced the lifting of sanctions on 12 Syrian entities, including the Ministries of Defense and Interior, in addition to a number of Syrian media.
The British Treasury Ministry said today, Thursday, that “12 Syrian entities are no longer on the sanctions list, which was previously prepared.”
According to what the ministry published on its official website, the parties that were lifted, in addition to the ministries of defense and the interior, are both the General Intelligence Department, the Air Force Intelligence Service, the Political Security Administration, and the Syrian National Security Office.
It also includes the Military Intelligence Department, the Army Supply Office, the Public Authority for Radio and Television and the newspaper “Al -Watan”, in addition to the “Sham Press” and “Sama” channels.
It is noteworthy that many European countries decided, last month, to suspend their sanctions against Syria, sanctions that targeted major sectors in the Syrian economy.
