A Russian military court requires a former general prison after being convicted of stealing spare parts

Today, Thursday, a military court sentenced former Russian general Ivan Popov, known for his criticism of the Moscow administration of the war in Ukraine for a period of five years in a punitive colony.
The court charged Popov charges to participate in stealing metal spare parts for the front in the Zaburigia region and caused damage of about 115 million rubles (1.4 million dollars), and a businessman and another officer also involved the operation.

Appeal of the ruling

The military court in southern Moscow condemned General Popov today, Thursday, and its stripping of his military rank, while Bubov has repeatedly confirmed his innocence and expressed his desire to return to the battlefield, and his lawyers intend to appeal the ruling.
