“Global Health” calls for accelerating progress towards the elimination of malaria

The World Health Organization called for intensifying efforts at all levels to accelerate progress towards the elimination of malaria, as world leaders in the late 1990s laid the cornerstone of remarkable progress in fighting malaria globally, including preventing more than two billion malaria and about 13 million deaths.
On the occasion of the International Mulia Day, which falls on April 25 of each year, the organization stated that 45 countries are free of disease, and many countries with a low burden of malaria are still steadily advanced towards the goal of eliminating the disease.
Among the remaining 83 countries affiliated with malaria, 25 countries have reported less than 10 cases of injury in 2023.
