"Emirates Libraries Association " Looking for cooperation with the Hassani Treasury in Rabat

Rabat on April 29/ WAM/ A delegation from the Emirates Association for Libraries and Information during his visit to the headquarters of the Hassaniya Treasury in the Royal Palace in Rabat enhanced cooperation between the two sides as well as a number of topics related to manuscript and printed books and the history of book treasures and their role in preserving cognitive heritage and reviewed the mechanisms of work followed in the restoration department, binding methods and manual and automatic restoration of books and manuscripts.

The visit included a tour of the delegation, accompanied by Dr. Ahmed Shawky Bennin, Director of the Treasury in the Digital Department, in which he met the systems of digitization of manuscripts and methods of digitizing them digitally to ensure the sustainability of this cultural heritage for future generations, along with the researchers service department.

Fahd Al -Maamari, Chairman of the Emirates Bookings of Library and Information, noted that the delegation visited one of the most ancient cultural institutions in the Arab world and ways to enhance joint cooperation and exchange experiences in the areas of restoration and digitization and the service of researchers, pointing out that this visit is an important step on the path of achieving the association’s goals in the field of developing office and cognitive work regionally and internationally.

At the end of the visit, the delegation receives a set of modern versions of the Hassania Treasury, which highlights multiple aspects of Arab -Islamic heritage.
