المملكة: Cutting currents behind the weather situation in Al -Rass Governorate

Hussein Al -Qahtani, the official spokesman for the National Meteorological Center, confirmed that the weather that witnessed the Al -Rass Governorate yesterday afternoon is due to descending currents.
He explained that it resulted from rainy thunderstorms formed over the area, explaining that these currents are one of the natural effects accompanying thunderstorms.

It is stated that it contributes to the occurrence of high -speed winds that cause dust and dust in varying proportions.
Al -Qahtani added that the highest speed of the winds recorded in the governorate amounted to more than 20 knots, equivalent to about 38 km per hour.

The National Meteorological Center revealed that the weather expected today, Sunday, in the Kingdom, was expressed by rain on parts of 11 regions.
He expected medium to heavy thunderstorms that lead to the flow of torrents accompanied by showers of cold and active winds that are dust and dust on parts of the Jazan, Asir, Al -Baha, Makkah Al -Mukarramah, Riyadh and Qassim.
