Abdul Majeed Hussein said in press statements: “The victory over Sharjah put the team in a good positive position and gave it comfort in working, and our goals are always to win championships and achieve achievements for the club. This victory is a step to put the team on the right track and on the podium, but that does not mean that the team has arrived, as we still have great efforts ahead of us, and the road will not be easy in light of the presence of fierce competitors, whether Al Ain or Al Wahda. Therefore, we must invest this victory in a positive way, especially against direct competitors, in addition to investing in the technical condition of the team and the return of some players to their normal level.”

Abdul Majeed Hussein described the next stage for Shabab Al-Ahly as being difficult, stressing the need for the team’s readiness at the local and Asian levels, noting that Shabab Al-Ahly is still leading the league championship, in addition to having a great chance in the golden square of the President’s Cup, as well as in the AFC Champions League for elite clubs.

He described the participation of the Brazilian player Joao Marcelo in the match as special and positive, expressing his hope that the player Sardar Azmoun will gradually return to the field, as his return represents a strong addition to the team, in addition to the return of Matthews Lima from injury, stressing that the team’s coach, the Portuguese Paulo Sousa, succeeded in creating a combination of players characterized by scoring diversity, considering this a positive thing.

Regarding the talk about a rift between the player Sardar and Shabab Al-Ahly, Abdul Majeed Hussein confirmed that this news is not true, explaining that Sardar is present at the club every day, and is committed to a morning and evening training program, noting that he participated in group training about a week or 10 days ago, stressing that his return to the matches will be gradual.
