3 dead and 60 wounded, after two boats were drowned to transport tourists in China
3 people were killed and 60 were wounded after two boats were transporting tourists in a river in southwestern China, according to the official Xinhua agency.
About 70 people fell into the water on Sunday, when the two boats turned in a river in Chenchi in Qanchu Province, according to Chinhua, quoting local sources.
The ambulances remained looking for 19 people missing Sunday evening.
Searching for missing persons
Chinese President Xi Jinping called for all efforts to find missing persons and treat the wounded.
She also stressed “the importance of strengthening security measures in tourist gatherings” and other “vast public places”.
Deputy Prime Minister Jang Goocheng sent the incident to supervising relief operations.
This accident occurred about two months after 11 people were killed in Hunan County (Al -Wasat), after a phrase collided with a ship to clean the effects of hydrocarbons.
