The conclusion of the first version of the race "Half a marathon Umm Al Quwain"

Umm Al -Quwain on May 6 / WAM / The first edition of the first edition of the “Half of Marathon Umm Al Quwain”, organized by the Department of Tourism and Antiquities and the Emirates Balanced Development Council, under the auspices of the “Union Water and Electricity” and Umm Al Quwain National Bank, and the Umm Al Quwain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where the race witnessed a great sports and social presence, in the context of efforts aimed at encouraging Community members to adopt sports as a daily lifestyle and enhance awareness of its importance in achieving a healthy and active life.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, head of the Finance Department in Umm Al Quwain, Sheikh Saqr bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, head of the Smart Government Department, and Sheikh Hamid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, head of the office of His Highness the Ruler of Umm Al Quwain.
Sheikh Majid bin Saud Rashid Al Mualla, head of the Department of Tourism and Antiquities in Umm Al Quwain, said that the organization of half the Marathon Umm Al Quwain for the first time in the emirate reflects its orientation towards expanding the scope of qualitative activities that mix sports and societal interaction, and in a way that embodies its vision in consolidating sports as a healthy lifestyle, in addition to providing sports platforms that provide all groups with an opportunity to take place in exceptional and inspiring sporting experiences.
A number of directors of government agencies, officials, members of the Federal National Council, and employees of government agencies and educational installations in Umm Al Quwain participated in the race activities.
His Excellency Haitham Sultan Al Ali, Director General of the Department of Tourism and Antiquities, in conclusion, crowned the winners of the first positions in male and female marathon levels, praising the outstanding performance of the enemies and the strength of the competition that prevailed in the atmosphere of the event, which reflects the growing societal awareness of the importance of sport as an integrated way of life.
He won the first place in the “Half Marathon Umm Al Quwain” race for a distance of 21 km in the category of male professionals Lilisa Negisa, while Picishi Emani won first place in the female professional category.
