The Sharjah Learning Difficulty Center participates in an international scientific conference in Jordan

Amman, May 7 / WAM / The Sharjah Center for Learning Difficulties signed, during its participation in the work of the second international scientific conference for learning difficulties, whose work was launched in the Jordanian capital Amman yesterday, and continues until May 8, a cooperation agreement with Princess Tharwat Intermediate College, aimed at supporting and strengthening the diagnostic and qualification system for people with learning difficulties.
The agreement aims to exchange academic and training experiences and develop curricula and specialized programs, as well as provide practical training opportunities for college students, implement joint research projects that serve issues of people with learning difficulties, and cooperation in preparing and developing an integrated diagnostic battery and evaluation for people with learning difficulties, with the aim of providing accurate standard measurement tools that meet local and regional requirements, and contribute to designing effective interventional and qualifying programs suitable for each condition.
Dr. Hanadi Al -Suwaidi, Director of the Sharjah Center for Learning Difficulties, which headed the center’s delegation to Jordan, in her speech during the conference, affirmed the center’s keenness to build a model educational system for people with learning difficulties, based on respecting their differences and investing their capabilities, and enabling them to have a comprehensive educational environment.
She added that the center is working on the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and with the follow -up of His Excellency Sheikha Jamila bint Muhammad Al Qasimi, President of Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services, which enabled him to achieve many achievements at local, Arab and international levels.
Al -Suwaidi stressed the importance of community partnerships with the relevant institutions and bodies, praising the partnership with Princess Tharwat University College, and confirmed the full center of cooperation in all educational initiatives and projects directed to people with learning difficulties.
During the conference, the center delegation presented a working paper entitled “The Sharjah Center for Learning Difficulties as a model”, in which he reviewed the most prominent programs and services it provides, and its contribution to spreading scientific awareness of learning difficulties, as well as his experiences in evaluation and diagnosis, and training specialized cadres.
The visit also included a number of field meetings with concerned Jordanian institutions, including the Al -Bunat Center for Special Education, the Princess Tharwat Intermediate College, and the National Center for Learning Difficulties, with the aim of exchanging experiences and identifying best practices in the field of diagnosis and rehabilitation, and to discuss opportunities for future cooperation in joint projects.
