Dubai, May 10 / WAM / The 21st UAE Conference on Critical Care, and the Second World Summit of the International Federation of Capital Care Associations (WFICC), currently held in Dubai, has launched new drugs and devices displayed for the first time in the Emirates in light of the accelerated development in health care techniques.
Artificial intelligence plays a pivotal role in improving the quality of medical services provided in critical care units, as the integration of artificial intelligence into ventilation and industrial breathing systems is one of the most prominent innovations that contribute to enhancing the accuracy of treatment, reducing complications and improving patients’ results.
Dr. Ziyad Al -Rayes, Head of the Emirates Division of Intensive Care at the Emirates Medical Association participating in the event, organized by “Info Plus Events”, stressed that within the efforts to improve respiratory care for patients in intensive care units, artificial intelligence contributes to providing advanced solutions that include smart ventilation systems that automatically adjust the criteria in response to the patient’s condition, control the incentives of inhale and exhale, and improve the timing of the transition between Inhalation and exhalation in proportion to the patient’s physiological needs, implementing the opening of air vesicles automatically and safely without continuous manual intervention, and the start of the weaning process from the artificial respiration system based on objective clinical indicators and standards.
He explained that the integration of artificial intelligence techniques into the critical care environment represents a strategic step towards improving clinical efficiency and quality of health care, pointing out that through relying on smart systems, a faster and more accurate response can be achieved to patients’ needs, which contributes to reducing the duration of the intensive care unit and improving recovery opportunities.
