India and Pakistan agree to an immediate ceasefire and start talks at a neutral site

Pakistan announced, on Saturday, that it had agreed with India an immediate ceasefire, days after the exchange of attacks between the two countries.
The Pakistani Foreign Minister said that his country “has always sought to achieve peace and security in the region, without prejudice to sovereignty and land safety.”
The Pakistani announcement came after US President Donald Trump confirmed that India and Pakistan agreed to a complete ceasefire “completely immediate.”
“After a long night of conversations that the United States has taken, I am pleased to announce that India and Pakistan have reached a full and immediate ceasefire,” Trump wrote on the “Truth Suchs” platform.
The US President added: “Congratulations to the two countries for the use of wisdom, sound logic and great intelligence. Thank you for your interest in this matter.”
Later, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that he and US Vice President GD Verse have communicated with senior Indian and Pakistani officials over the past 48 hours.
“I am pleased to announce that the government of India and Pakistan agreed on an immediate ceasefire,” he wrote on the X platform.
“The governments of India and Pakistan will show talks about a wide range of issues in a neutral site,” Rubio added.
