King Abdullah Medical Complex in Jeddah implements a calendar of awareness programs to enhance public health among pilgrims and society

In the context of his continuous efforts to enhance health awareness and community protection, the King Abdullah Medical Complex in Jeddah, a member of the second Jeddah Health Assembly, launched a calendar of field health awareness programs, targeting pilgrims and community members of various age groups.
The campaign included a number of vital sites inside the city of Jeddah, including sports walkways, Jeddah maritime façade, public parks, and commercial centers, as well as a number of government and private agencies, with the aim of reaching the largest possible segment of beneficiaries, especially pilgrims and their families.

The awareness initiatives varied to include health topics coinciding with the global health days during the month of May, and in preparation for the Hajj season for this year 1446 AH, such as a pilgrimage to health and awareness of high blood pressure, combating smoking, asthma, in addition to the activities of “Fish 30”, awareness of autism, Parkinson’s, skin cancer, and the importance of the necessary fortifications for pilgrims and society, along with first aid, first aid, and first aid, and first aid, as well Proper health habits, education about myopia and chronic diseases.

This program comes within the strategic directions of Jeddah’s second health gathering, which focuses on prevention and promotion of health and raising the level of health awareness in society, in line with the targets of the Kingdom’s 2030 vision in the health sector.
